Top Dog in Rockport

Great place to grab lunch or a snack. I ordered a slider & added bacon which was not on the menu but was no problem. Maybe they’ll make me a double slider with bacon next time! I read the Boston Globe - in paper form - which they have sitting on the bar! Felt like I went back to the 80s or 90s for a while - love it. This is a simple, classic, casual place to kick back while on holiday.

Hot dogs were okay, onion rings were good.

Great little hot dog place with amazing combos! I got one with sauerkraut and one with coleslaw and bbq sauce. They were both delicious

Tight quarters but decent food

If your that hungry, and whiling to wait 30 to 40 minutes and get half the order you asked for your at the right place Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!Chances are when your order cames out it will be missing hot dog "Buns" and also your order of "french fries".. fresh out. xD wheres the nearest McDonalds? where are you?!

Where do you eat when you're in New England and discover you don't really like lobster? Hello quesadillas. No lie it was pretty good which I was happy about because I had quesadillas twice in four days.

Young, friendly staff and a good variety of specials and combinations. Decent beer selection for a glorified got dog stand. The actual dogs themselves, however, were nothing special.

So glad we ditched the restaurants and ate here instead. GREAT food, good vibes from the staff. Enjoyed every bite and the wallet was happy as well.

We love this place for a good old fashioned hotdog lunch, but they are always slamming busy so be prepared to wait. In the mean time, you’ll love being in the company of the staff that exudes the local flair. Loud and friendly just like me 🤩

It a fancy, overpriced hot dog. That said it is well marketed and very tasty.

They lost my order and kept me waiting for an hour saying they gonna replace it, make it/cook it. They suck. Pick some other place around here, save yourself some time.

This place is amazing! Loved the chili dog and the cheese fries! Food comes out quick and nice and hot. The melted cheese had the consistency of fake cheese which I love, but tasted real. Definitely would come here again!

I come here every year! The dogs are amazing!! Never had a visit that I didn't enjoy ! Chili cheese fries, the greyhound and the Boston terrier, my top favorites !

Went in to grab a bite , had a great time. Staff was excellent and made me feel good being there. Food was excellent as well. Enjoyed the experience overall. Will definitely come back in the very near future. 😄

This place was mobbed with Asian tourists on my last visit, but the food is authentic American! They have hot dogs with all kinds of imaginable toppings. The hot dogs were crisp with a crunch that is expected from high quality dogs. I tried their junkyard special where you can pile on all kinds of toppings - chilli, cheese, bacon, grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms - you name it! The staff is young and friendly and really hop to it to keep wait times down on busy days.

Giving this place 4 stars only because of the not so ideal seating. The food was great good dogs and great fried clams. The places in rockport with better views of the water typically aren't as good quality as far as food.

The service was quick today, although I would've rather waited for my food to be cooked better, I immediately had to throw it out. I had a shaggy dog and it was soggy. But since it's considered a "wet dog" at this restaurant my correction should be, it's like they soaked it in water before wrapping it in tinfoil. Also the hot dog was extremely undercooked. This place used to be amazing, brakes my heart.I also ordered the small clam strips which was $12. pretty pricey for the size that I received. I pay the same at the local restaurants in Gloucester for a regular clam strip size and get a bigger portion. The strips were also undercooked and extremely chewy! I've never had extremely chewy strips. So I just had to re-fry them and eat the ones that survived and cooked well. Overall probably not going back. The service was great though! Can't lie I tipped and everything cause of how nice, and surprisingly (but now I know why) quick the service was!

A little late on posting this one, since we were enjoying a perfect end to a great afternoon in Rockport, eating gelato and watching the sunset off the jetty. These were "select" size bellies, which I guess aren't too big and not too small either, fried to perfection, with a few side dogs for the family to share. One dog with cole slaw and BBQ sauce ( it actually works!) and the other slathered in cheese, onions, and bacon! All washed down sitting outside with a ice cold Sculpin IPA!A true New England summer dinner, if there ever was one!

The food here is awesome! The buns are unique and delicious, any of the dogs you get will be great! I also enjoyed the cheese fries. I'm giving it 3 stars for two reasons. 1.) The payment machine they have is very slow and forces you to give a tip unless you want to manually enter a 0% tip. I don't think a place that has walk up orders should have what is a seemingly required tip. 2.) I stood around for 10 minutes while watching other orders get filled, despite my order being quite simple. After this time I asked the girl working and she immediately dished out my order. The food was very hot (and yummy!), and the staff was incredibly friendly, but they need to be more aware of what order they're fulfilling their orders. It wasn't a super busy day, so the unorganized nature of my visit was a surprise. Despite the hiccups, it was the best hot dog I've ever had!

What happened to this place? Last summer the food and service was good. Recently stopped in and was told that they were short staffed, and were out of many menu items. Waited 35 minutes for burnt chicken fingers and cold fries. The employees seemed less than happy to be there. I'll avoid this place from now on.

Love this place. Worth the drive every time. Not much eat in space so factor that in and you won't be disappointed.

Charged my friend for a Mac and cheese hotdog and didn't tell him they ran out of Mac and cheese. Then when we got to order they said they were stopping orders because they're overwhelmed. Can't comment about the quality of the food because I never had the chance to try it.

Great dogs and I love how you can customize it however you want! The bun was different than most, and in a good way! Great chili cheese fries... just yum overall and great prices!

Wow....just wow! The dogs are delicious, especially the Bad Dog (bacon, cheese &grilled onion!) And the Works Slider (cheddar, tomatoes, lettuce and pickle)is amazing! Can't forget the Sculpin Ipa!

This place is very good usually. However today I decided to try their lobster roll plate, at $26 - pathetic attempt at a lobster roll. Top dollar, sup par. Everything else we ordered was as usually excellent.
